Body care after the shower, in three layers. First, light and fresh aloe vera gel. Then jojoba oil, a liquid plant wax that spreads without a heavy film. Finally shea butter, on the driest areas.

On still-damp skin, the oil and butter help hold in water and leave skin soft and comfortable. Patch test before first use.

The 3-step protocol

How often
After showering

You will need

  • A thin layer of aloe vera gel
  • A few drops of jojoba oil
  • 1 hazelnut-sized amount of shea butter

Steps

  1. Gel: after a lukewarm shower, pat your skin dry without rubbing and apply a thin layer of aloe vera gel.

  3. Butter: warm a hazelnut-sized amount of shea butter between your fingers and apply it to elbows, knees and heels.

Frequently asked questions

In what order should I apply the products?

From lightest to richest: aloe vera gel, then jojoba oil, then shea butter on dry areas. The oil and butter come last to help hold in water.

Does the ritual suit the face?

Yes for aloe vera and jojoba, in small amounts: a thin layer of gel, then 2 to 3 drops of oil. Shea butter is rich: use it on your face only if your skin is dry.

What if I have a tree nut allergy?

Shea comes from a nut: ask your doctor and do a patch test before use. In this ritual, it can be swapped for mango or avocado butter.
