Our four butters together, so you can find yours. Ghanaian shea for body, lips and dry hair. Avocado butter for hands, feet and ends. Mango butter, which melts on contact with skin, for cuticles and curls. Firm cocoa butter for homemade balms.

Solid at room temperature, they soften in the heat: keep them somewhere cool and use a clean spatula. Patch test before first use.

Frequently asked questions

Which butter should I start with?

For body and lips, shea. For hands and feet, avocado. For cuticles and curls, mango. For your homemade balms, cocoa, which is very firm when cool.

Why have my butters melted?

Butters melt close to body temperature; cocoa at around 30 to 35 °C. In Mauritius they soften in summer, and their texture can change as they cool. Keep them somewhere cool, out of the sun.

What about allergies?

Shea comes from a nut: if you have a tree nut allergy, ask your doctor. Take the same care if you are allergic to avocado or mango. Always patch test first.
