Benefits

  • A thick, rich oil for dry lengths and ends
  • Adds shine to hair
  • A scalp massage oil, best blended with jojoba
  • A tiny amount tames brows; keep it away from the eyes

How to use

Scalp: mix 3 to 5 drops with a lighter oil and massage in with your fingertips; leave for 30 minutes or overnight, then shampoo. Ends: warm 1 drop between your palms. On long hair, detangle first and use only a little.

Precautions

  • Patch test in the crook of your elbow 48 hours before first use.
  • Avoid any contact with the eyes; do not apply along the lash line.
  • Long hair: use a little, on detangled hair, without rubbing. If it tangles unusually, do not force it and seek professional advice.
  • For external use only; do not swallow. Keep out of reach of children.
  • May stain fabrics. Keep the bottle closed, away from light and heat.

Frequently asked questions

Why mix it with another oil?

It is very thick. Mixed with a lighter oil such as jojoba, it spreads more easily over the scalp, in a small amount.

Can I use it on brows and lashes?

On brows, yes: a trace on a clean brow brush, away from the eye. Not on lashes: castor oil can irritate the eye.

Can I use it on my body?

Yes, mixed with a lighter oil, on dry areas and cuticles.
